New Single By Arlie Gets It “Poppin”
One of our favorite bands making big moves this year is Nashville indie sensation Arlie. The group just released their second single of the year “Poppin”. This record was superseded by “Karma” which kicked off the summer. Arlie is currently on tour with Dayglow, blazing stages throughout North America.
Arlie began life as the solo effort of singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Nathaniel Banks, who started recording songs in his dorm room on the campus of Nashville’s Vanderbilt University. Wanting to try out some of the material on-stage, Banks soon teamed up with fellow Vanderbilt student Carson Lystad (guitar), a friend from nearby Belmont University, Adam Lochemes (drums), and a local multi-instrumentalist named Tyler Waters.
The new song comes with a video that hits like a hand snack from a Santa Monica taco truck. Directed by Sam Boyette, the visual features frontman Nathaniel Banks in a popsicle-colored sport coat. In this lit sparkler of a project, we get to see all the band members in the California fun.
