Album Review: CINEMA By The Marias
Los Angeles duo The Marias recently released their debut album CINEMA. The timing couldn’t be better for a summertime splash to enjoy by the pool. The band kept the signature style of their first two EP’s, they just expanded on it. With songs in English and Spanish, this song has lots of sexy edges for almost any listener.
Vocalist Maria Zardoya moves effortlessly to practically any style. Her versatility is quite remarkable. She switches from an Alt cadence to Spanish, to English in a way that’s unique to herself. The other part of the band is drummer Josh Conway. The two are dating so it’s nice to see them come out of quarantine with a great album.
