Album Review: Under Darkening Skies By Monolink
Steffen Linck, who goes by the stage name Monolink has just released his third full-length studio album Under Darkening Skies. For those who aren’t familiar with the stylings of Linck, he’s basically the Kung Lao of the underground European circuit. Chopping off heads with his razor-sharp riffs and hooks, the German musician is the mystical creature lurking in the best music festivals in the world.
This album is like the greatest hits of Monolink over the last few years. Some of the songs will seem familiar to festival-goers and die-hard fans, but the world hasn’t heard these gems yet. As his notoriety is growing, so is his production quality. The new tracks are somewhat re-imagined with a lot more punch. The new videos that are paired with the album carry as much weight as the music. Monolink did an excellent job of choosing the right team to make these songs pop.
