Breakdancing is Officially an Olympic Sport in 2024
B-Boys and B-Girls are popping bottles this week to the news that break-dancing will be included in the 2024 Olympic games in France. Also confirmed for Paris by the IOC executive board were skateboarding, sport climbing, and surfing.
This is a serious break-through for a lot of people who understand the work and dedication it takes to perform these sports. We are pleased that the great number of athletes that train hard to develop these art forms will finally be rewarded with medals on the world stage.
The Olympics are looking to draw a younger crowd with these moves that will definitely open some new eyes to the ancient event. We will be watching very closely to see these competitors finally get their chance to shine. Do we still have time to use Tony Hawk? We hope so, glad to be the bearer of such beautiful news.
