Briston Maroney Delivers Dope Debut Album
Tick, Tick, Boom! The debut full-length album Sunflower from former American Idol contestant Briston Maroney has finally arrived. With four EP’s under his belt, the Tennessee native is still busting loose with the juice. Briston is like all four of the Beatles wrapped up into one. He’s found a way to stay masterfully balanced in a place between rock, folk, and contemporary country music.
With youthful vigor, Maroney deals out the lyrics like playing cards over meticulously arranged guitars and simple drum sets. The sweet southern vibes collide with pertinent lyrical content. There are no features on the album but that’s only because this artist has a lot to say and knows how he wants to say it. Briston actually filmed an entire visual to go with the album. Instead of listing our favorite songs, we suggest you take in the whole thing at one time as the artist intended.
