We are happy to bring to our readers some inside information about an up-and-coming musician that is very special. Shaun Finn has incredible skill and song-writing ability. We recently caught up with this rising star to talk about his newest single titled “Clean & Dirty”. We are so impressed with the song, and even more thrilled to find out Finn is an indie musician so let’s learn more about the artist.

Shaun Finn is a singer/songwriter live loop pedal artist based in Vancouver, Canada. As a multi-instrumentalist he layers his guitar, vocals, percussion, and harmonica to craft a unique bluesy-folk-rock sound. The last 3 years he’s gone from busking on the sidewalks of downtown Vancouver and booking gigs at local venues to releasing singles on Spotify while performing is put on pause.

Back in February Finn released his single “Clean & Dirty” – the song absolutely makes the hairs on the back of our necks do the wiggles. It is a powerfully written song delivered with the passion of a cherub. No stone was left unturned in the arrangement, the guitar solo is one of the best we’ve heard in a very long time. We had to know more about the process, this is what Shaun told us.

In His Own Words

This song was written about my own reflections of never feeling satisfied – always wanting more, needing more. The typical behavior of the never-ending ‘keeping up with the Joneses’ effect. Working in marketing I’ve been immersed in knowing how big businesses rely on and encourage this mentality. I’ve learned the tricks and internalized this fixation on driving sales and growing market share. “Hurry hurry gotta make money.” The well-dressed folks with a clean haircut, the steady office job, moving up the corporate ladder finding success, but willing to deprioritize ethics for the money. “You look so clean but dirty.”
