Lucky Day New Single “Running Blind” Music For The Movement Vol. 3
We are continually blessed with the Music For The Movement series from ESPN’s The Undefeated and Hollywood Records. Afrofuturism, self-love, and empowerment are among the themes explored by each collection of music. The series has previously included Alex Isley’s version of “People Get Ready” and Tinashe’s “I’m Every Woman.” They are getting ready to release the next of the four volumes, called Liberated / Music For The Movement Vol 3. It’s just in time for Juneteenth. Ahead of the celebration, they’ve released a new song by Lucky Daye, “Running Blind”.
Lucky Daye has been super productive lately and his vocals show that tenacity. Daye has a way of giving a record of the wings it needs to fly. Soaring in the skies of soulful empathy and compassion, this song is a heart-shaker. A reminder of how powerful the people can be. The drums march through the arrangement like a troop of Queen of Heart cards coming over the hills. The way to freedom is the relentless quest for music.
