Must-Have Album Review: Love In Stereo By Jungle
We are beside ourselves listening to one of the best albums we’ve ever heard. The third full-length by Jungle is a must-have in any collection for at least a million reasons. The first is the sheer invincible ability of the duo to synchronize every beat into something that must be danced to. Jungle is the perfect name for a band with so many moving parts.
Jungle was founded by Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland. The pair had been friends since they were nine years old, where they lived next door to each other in Shepherds Bush, London. They both attended Latymer Upper School, a fee-charging public school in Hammersmith. They went on to form Jungle at the beginning of 2013, choosing to put an aesthetic emphasis on the music’s surrounding artwork and videos, and not on the pairs’ own identity, (Lloyd-Watson and McFarland) came to be known as J and T). Throughout the following year, Jungle developed its nature as a collective by working with different artists across diverse disciplines.
Over the years, Jungle has acquired dancers and choreographers that also have a passion for what they do. The same dancers appear again and again in the visual offerings of the group. The music always takes center stage when it comes to this band. The album was superseded by five dazzling singles that let everyone in the world know the band was set to blaze up. They were “Keep Moving”, “Talk About It”, “Romeo”, “Truth”, and “All of the Time”. This is also the first album the group would share a stage with other artists which were Bas and Priya Ragu.
