Must Have Album Review: Mobile Home By GusGus

Chetuno | June 4, 2021
GusGus

Just in case anyone out there thought Vikings weren’t passionate about techno, GusGus is here to prove them wrong. The Icelandic group has just released their 11th full-length studio album Mobile Home, and, damn. This record belongs in your collection because of its diversity. These songs explore a lot of space in the mechanized industrial landscape. It’s not just knobs and buttons with this group. With GusGus you get incredibly powerful lyrics precisely delivered when they need to be.

Slap-shifting through the progressions of house, trance, breakbeat, and drum and bass, there is no real resting place of this music. GusGus is a movement within themselves, a wild ride on a constellation whale swimming through the stars. Mobile Home is a hum dinger.

Check out our favorite songs from the album below.
