New Single “Dark Star” By Chicano Batman
Heatwaves across America are mad at the new single “Dark Star” by Chicano Batman. Vibes couldn’t be hotter than this, the Los Angeles four-piece is known for grilling records. The group is still buzzing from the 2020 release of their fourth studio album Invisible People.
Chicano Batman is composed of Eduardo Arenas (bass, guitar, vocals), Carlos Arévalo (guitars, keyboards), Bardo Martinez (lead vocals, keyboards, guitar), and Gabriel Villa (drums). The single actually has double sides, the other song is called “Pastel Sunrise”. Both songs are packed with that California love and lots of electric guitars. The songs are incredible, this band has a beguiling way of casting music spells.
The “Dark Star” track has a great video to go with it. Directed by Anders Ericsson, the piece took on a West Coast industrial art deco feel. Ericsson is more known in the industry for editing, but we feel he did an excellent job with the project. It was an alt-edge blade on the long end of a rock and roll knife.
