Royal Blood Slays With Lead Single “Typhoons”
Currently one of the hottest bands from across the pond, Royal Blood is about to go super-nova. The Brighton, London group is easily one of the most popular alt/rock bands in the U.K. The dynamic duo is comprised of lead vocalist and bassist Mike Kerr and drummer Ben Thatcher. What is particularly prodigious about the pair is the way Mike Kerr manipulates the sound of his bass to make it sound like a guitar. Because he’s the only bassist we’ve ever heard doing this, he’s a wizard, he uses peddles and other equipment to make the magic.
The band is scheduled to release their highly anticipated third full-length studio album at the end of this month titled Typhoons. They released the lead single “Typhoons” Back in January which currently has over 1.5 million views. The video is directed by the exalted Quintin Doronzier who really did a phenomenal job with the project. The rooftop performance video is the perfect choice because a lot of fans out there miss live shows. If this is any indication of what’s to come, it’s gonna be an incredible album.
