Sleater-Kinney New Single “Worry With You” Is Solid Gold
Sleater-Kinney just released their first blessing “Worry With You” from the group’s 10th full-length studio album Path of Wellness. The album is set to be out June 11th, it’ll be followed by a North American tour with the band Wilco. This is a guitar-up, bass-down funk salad with extra dressing. This has blues and rock sprinkled all over its buttery “Pop” core. This song has a particular message we enjoy. We’ve all spent a lot of “quality” with our loved ones recently. No matter what we go through, we go through it together, which is a sentiment to be well carried outside of our own homes.
The video was directed by Alberta Poon, who is a self-proclaimed Chinese-American director and screenwriter whose notable life accomplishments include teaching her dog to skateboard, starring in the world’s first cannabis commercial, and narrowly escaping a van fire while her indie-rock band toured the country.
The team came up with a charismatic, cinematic experience that included some spectacular acting. Fabi Reyna and Megan Watson had on-screen chemistry that added a marvelous component to the piece.
