Synchronocity I, II, and III – Album Review
Who is the band that hit you with not one but three albums in 2020? WhoMadeWho that’s who. The Denmark trio absolutely killed it with this three-part installment of Synchronicity.
We can’t remember the last time we saw a three-part album, but as die-hard fans of WhoMadeWho music, we are pleased to hear such a beautiful form of expression from these guys. WhoMadeWho is like a band found a time machine, traveled into the future, and then found a badass studio loaded with synthesizers, and then went B-A-N-A-N-A-S. These albums must be viewed as a single piece of expression from the band, if you try to separate them or just listen to one, you really are left with something missing.
We can’t imagine the piece being complete without listening to all three, the band has many features on this album, and we all love a good collabo, we hope WhoMadeWho will keep their flavor pure because they have a lot to offer collectively and what they produce is spectacular. This is mostly an instrumental album which may seem odd to a few but the sounds that WhoMadeWho is known for are more like an Orchestra than anything else.
The trio often uses the actual instruments as a form of expression and goes back and forth with each sound competing for power throughout, such a nice way for the listener to add in their own feelings and emotions to blend without the use of words.
