Video Spotlight: “Telepath” By Manchester Orchestra
At this point, I think we can do away this the Indie-Rock label that has been placed on this group. At the heart of the Georgia grown group, Manchester Orchestra has deep down original funk you can’t label as anything, and also everything. The recent release of the record “Telepath” is the third and final preview of their upcoming album The Million Masks Of God.
The band got together with an exceptionally talented group of individuals to complete the project. The video is a touching expression of a love life, resonant modern dance performance snuggled into a nest of rustic, acoustic imagery. The video is directed by the esteemed Isaac Deitz but the concept comes from the mind of the Orchestra’s frontman Andy Hull. Let’s find out what Andy had to say about the record.
Andy Hull
“‘Telepath’ is ultimately about the ebb and flow of life-long commitment to another person. Recognizing that even the best relationships in our lives can have extreme ups and downs,” Andy Hull explains. “At the end of the day, it’s those that we have chosen to love and, more importantly, those that have chosen to love us that truly matter. This is my attempt to further commit for the long haul.”
Video Cast & Crew
These actors gave such breathtaking performances. The routines were choreographed by Mandy Corbett and her assistant Noel Coronado Jr. The two actually stepped in front of the camera and appear as the second couple. The other actors are Sam Rothrock, Sheila Rothrock, Thomas Stovall, Layla Bealer, and Rick Andosca. The end product is so perfectly put together that each person involved deserves a lot of credit.
