Album Review: Deadpan Love By Cautious Clay
Everyone expected this album to be good, but damn. Deadpan Love by Cautious Clay is one of the best albums we’ve heard, period. All the way indie, with no major label help this man has built an empire on fire music. With some great EP’s under his belt and a lot of star power momentum, this record has no ceiling.
Lately, Clay has been putting out singles that are on the soft brush side of the game. Cautious is back in fountain pen form with sharp edges and rigid lines. The man is clearly soft-spoken, but this album takes me back to the days of “French Riviera” and “Coldwar”. The crust is often the best part of the pie.
Check out our favorite songs from the album.
