Watch Official Video To New Single “Go” By Danelle Sandoval
This record has the right amount of sweetness to add to the heat. The new single “Go” by independent artist Danelle Sandoval is definitely not part of the Green New Deal. This song is hot enough to burn both the ice caps. The former YouTuber is showing the world she’s more than a “Tuesday” sample. She recently released her first EP For Love and is already back in the studio making magic. The singer shared that she’d written the song three years ago but was unsure about when, or if, she would ever have the courage to put it out there. We are so happy she did because it’s a zinger. Here’s what she had to say about the piece.
“It’s my way of reclaiming my sexual identity and not being anyone’s fantasy except my own. Because of the way I look, I’m assigned a certain role in society: to be submissive, acquiescent, meek, docile. And for a while, I defaulted to being those labels, whether it was in relationships, the workplace, or even the music industry. It took me a lot to realize how much this affected my mental health. As an Asian-American woman, I can be dominant, I can initiate, I can take up space, and that the art I make, the way I dress, and what I do is solely for my own pleasure, not for anyone else’s.”
