Must-Have Album Review: My Soft Machine by Arlo Parks
The latest release by the 22-year-old Arlo Parks is one of the best albums we’ve heard this year. The London native is expressing herself in the most delightful way throughout this album. The lyrics she embraces are aquatically simple but the emotional weight is massive.
Arlo has had many successful singles over the last three years that have garnished worldwide attention. The artist still has quite a buzz throughout the industry after her debut album Collapsed in Sunbeams and accompanying tour had great success. The artist pulls from her Nigerian, Chadian, and French ancestry in terms of style and delivery. We know Parks worked very hard on the album and is absolutely giddy at its release and we are too.
