A Little Less Scrolling, a Little More BLOND:ISH
The festival clip is a very persuasive creature. Thirty seconds, a sea of hands, a drop—and suddenly you have watched twelve of them without hearing a whole song.
Our BLOND:ISH catch-up takes another route. Never Walk Alone, released February 14, 2025, gives us 12 tracks and roughly 35 minutes in one place. The album listing is the starting point; the title song, featuring Stevie Appleton, also has its own entry on the artist’s official music page.
We are revisiting the record, not attaching a new date to it. What interests us is the difference between meeting a dance artist through a peak-time moment and giving that artist a complete sequence to work with. One offers instant impact. The other lets us decide what we want to keep.
Start with the title track, then let the album continue instead of handing the next choice back to an algorithm. Which song would you put on before friends arrive? Which one makes you abandon whatever useful thing you were pretending to do?
Those are legitimate listening questions in this house. Music does not have to become a technical examination to deserve our attention. Sometimes the most useful discovery is simply finding the song that makes an ordinary evening feel shared.
