From Rose Pink Cadillac to Golden Wolf: Stay a While With DOPE LEMON

We once described the pleasure of DOPE LEMON as riding down the highway on a sofa. We stand by the invitation: get comfortable, but keep looking out the window.

Golden Wolf, released in May 2025, is the fifth DOPE LEMON album. BMG’s release coverage places it in the continuing solo project of Angus Stone. Rather than inventing a new-release emergency, we are using this return visit to connect a few stops we have already loved with the next one.

Start with our earlier “Rose Pink Cadillac” spotlight, follow it through “Kimosabè,” then head to the official “SUGARCAT” video and Golden Wolf. The point is not to rank the stops. It is to notice how an artist keeps building a recognizable world without making every entrance look the same.

That is a quality we value in music and in the stories around it. A visual can be strange, funny or beautifully excessive, provided it belongs to the song rather than distracting from it.
