FROM THE INBOX — An editorially selected release sent directly to Bubbling Box.

KARLEE GIRL returned on June 26 with “What Now?,” a melodic track about the uncertainty, anxiety and possibility that arrive at life’s turning points.

The Honolulu-born, Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter blends R&B, pop, jazz influence and crisp rap flows. Her press materials describe “What Now?” as the follow-up to the viral “Right Back,” continuing a run of releases that began with her solo debut “Little Things.”

What makes this one worth a place in the Listening Lobby is its central question: what happens when one chapter ends and no clear direction has appeared yet? KARLEE GIRL turns that uneasy moment into something reflective and quietly empowering.
