Here at the Box, we’re making room for a little romantic possibility. Our latest From the Inbox introduction is Matt Hansen’s “Unspoken,” released August 7—a new chapter after his debut album, Orchid.

Hansen’s publicist frames the single as a move toward the hopeful side of connection: the possibilities that arrive when someone new begins to matter. For an artist whose earlier songs have often been introduced through heartbreak, that change of perspective is a good reason to check back in.

A songwriter taking his next step

The official recording credits name Jack Riley as producer and Hansen, Riley and Grace Enger as writers. It is a compact introduction at just over two and a half minutes—an easy invitation to step inside his current songwriting world.

Hansen first built an audience through online performances before expanding into original releases including “LET EM GO” and “SOMETHING TO REMEMBER.” His press materials also point to support slots with artists including Teddy Swims and Lauv. Now, with Orchid behind him and more music arriving, the story is moving onto the stage.

His official YouTube artist page currently lists October appearances in Dublin, Manchester and London, part of the fall tour promoted alongside this release. Check the artist’s current listings before making plans; dates and ticket availability can change.

For now, pull up a chair and meet “Unspoken.” We’re sharing this as a discovery spotlight from our publicist inbox, with room for you to find your own connection.
