Orlando, Clear Your Calendar: Daði Freyr and Thundercat Are Coming

Orlando, October is bringing us two very good reasons to step away from the sofa. Daði Freyr and Thundercat are both on The Plaza Live’s calendar, just two nights apart.

The venue lists Daði Freyr on Friday, October 2, at 8 p.m. and Thundercat on Sunday, October 4, at 8 p.m. You can find the individual event pages and ticket links through The Plaza Live’s official listings.

We love a calendar that leaves room for different kinds of musical personality. Two separate nights also mean there’s no need to turn this into an either-or contest. Pick the artist you’ve been meaning to catch, introduce a friend to someone new, or make a proper live-music weekend of it.

The Plaza holds some wonderful memories for us. It is where we danced ourselves silly at Elderbrook’s March 2023 show, and that experience still reminds us why getting into the room matters. Listening at home has its pleasures, but a crowd finding its rhythm together is another kind of electricity.

This is a calendar nudge, not a review of performances that haven’t happened yet. We’re looking forward to the possibilities and will keep our fuller artist coverage separate, so these essentials are easy to find.
