Rhye’s Sometimes Gives Us a New Place to Pick Up the Thread

One of the pleasures of returning to an artist is discovering that the conversation continued while you were elsewhere.

Rhye’s Sometimes single arrived September 17, 2026. The two-song release follows a year that also includes the JOY EP and “Summer Song,” with a “Sometimes” video listed alongside the music. The artist’s official streaming page collects those releases and their visual companions.

Our own archive takes us back to Home, the 2021 album. Rather than pretending nothing happened between then and now, we would make this a three-stop catch-up: the new single first, JOY next, then a return to the older record that already has a place in our listening history.

We like that approach because it leaves room to change our minds. A familiar voice is not an obligation to prefer the familiar song. Nor does a new date automatically make a track more interesting than the one you have carried for years.
