RÜFÜS DU SOL Turn the Wait Into a Party at the Gorge

The wait before a show can feel like an exercise in checking your watch. RÜFÜS DU SOL had a more interesting solution at the Gorge: make the waiting part worth hearing.

The group’s official channel has shared a backstage DJ set recorded in May 2026 and uploaded July 2. According to the video description, it was a surprise session broadcast over the venue’s screens and sound system while the audience waited for Jack J and Maribou State to open the Saturday show. This is a DJ selection, not a recording of the trio’s live-band headline performance. That distinction is part of its appeal. Hearing musicians choose other music can tell you something different from hearing them play their own songs.
