Slothrust Right To The Cranium

Slothrust recently broke a near three-year silent spell with the mesmerizing single “Cranium”. It is really impressive to see a band evolve without actively touring. This song’s progression makes you feel like you’re robotically ascending up a stairwell into a charcoal-colored sky buzzing with static thunder.

When you get to the top you get wetted up with a minute-long guitar played by Leah Wellbaum, who is also the lead vocalist of the trio. Guitar solos are too few and far between, we are thrilled to see one included in the visual.

The group hasn’t developed a record since their fourth album The Pact was released in 2018. Obviously, it wasn’t because they weren’t working their asses off.
