Stevie Wonder Takes Songs in the Key of Life Back to the Stage at 50

Some albums age into artifacts. Songs in the Key of Life keeps walking around like it has somewhere important to be.

Stevie Wonder has announced a 50th-anniversary performance of the landmark record at Dublin’s 3Arena on November 1, 2026. The concert will feature the album performed in its entirety by Wonder, turning one of popular music’s most generous statements into a living room large enough for thousands.

Released in 1976, Songs in the Key of Life won Album of the Year—Wonder’s third victory in that category—and eventually sold more than 10 million copies. It also entered the Library of Congress National Recording Registry for its cultural, historic and aesthetic importance.

The reason the record still breathes is inside songs such as “As,” “Sir Duke,” “Isn’t She Lovely” and “Love’s in Need of Love Today.” Wonder built a panoramic work from celebration, social observation, romance, faith, childhood and the stubborn belief that joy can carry serious weight.

Anniversary tours can sometimes resemble beautifully lit museums, but this album refuses to stay behind glass. Its rhythms remain warm enough to cook with, while its questions about love, responsibility and shared humanity have not lost their edge.

The Dublin partner presale begins September 9 at 10 a.m. local time, with the general sale scheduled for September 11 at 10 a.m. The event is promoted by Live Nation and produced by Wonder Productions.
