Mighty Joe Goddard, The Living Legend of Indie Music.
British producer Joe Goddard is legendary when it comes to Indie music. One of the founding members of the band Hot Chip, Joe Gabbard has been around putting in work in the industry for over fifteen years. Happily and heavily reliant on giant old school synthesizers, mixing boards and house vocals the man is a one-man wrecking crew when it comes to busting out the freshest mixes the world has seen since the late ’90s.
Joe Goddard is like every member of the Beatles mixed with Quincy Jones in the Studio. Trying to describe Hot Chip and their music in words is like trying to describe a snicker’s bar to a goldfish. What you will certainly hear is one deliciously leveled track after another that sounds good to your ears no matter what vehicle it is carried in. That comes from experience, a love of the game, and putting in work.

Joe Goddard co-founded Hot Chip with Alexis Taylor and put out the album Coming On Strong in 2004. The band gained several other members to put together the album The Warning, which has a much more diverse selection of songs and really showed the growth of the band in three years. Joe Goddard would go on to co-found the record label Greco-Roman where he was able to help put together Hot Chip’s third album Harvest Festival in 2009. At Greco-Roman Joe has produced albums for Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Disclosure. Hot Chip put out their last album Electric Lines with the label Domino in 2017.
