Rockabilly is not supposed to arrive in our inbox telling us to put the phone down, but maybe it makes perfect sense. The Spunyboys’ new single, “Look Up,” is built around that basic human reminder: life is happening while we are bent over a screen pretending not to miss it.

The French trio has always had a feel for momentum—guitars that move, rhythms that pull people toward the floor, a sense that music is supposed to be lived in a room with other humans. “Look Up” carries that energy toward a very current problem without turning the message into a lecture.

We appreciate when a song understands the difference between nostalgia and presence. Nobody is asking us to throw our phones into the river.
