While we wait, our route back is At the Crib. That earlier Bubbling Box piece captures the affection we already had for an artist whose music invites us to pay attention to presentation as well as performance. The clothes, the bodies sharing the frame, the intention behind the image: we love when a musical world is built with that much personality.

A release calendar can become a conveyor belt if we let it. Here is a better use for this particular wait: revisit the project that made you a fan, then arrive at the new one with your ears open rather than a verdict prepared.

October 9 is on our calendar. Until then, we are making room for the bridge without pretending to know everything on the other side.
