L’Impératrice and Maggie Rogers Have Our Attention—and Our Screen

Bubbling Box Team | October 9, 2026
Blue visor and sculptural costumes in the Any Way video by L’Impératrice featuring Maggie Rogers.

A blue visor, sculptural clothing and Maggie Rogers appearing above a curious little machine. L’Impératrice’s “Any Way” thumbnail is doing considerably more than asking us to press play.

The 2024 video, featuring Rogers, was directed by Zite & Léo and produced by LEFT for microqlima. The directors’ official upload includes the credits, and they are worth reading.

Pierre Cardin provided the costumes; Charlotte Richard handled styling, Sander Vandenbroucke the cinematography, and Jérôme Nicol the production design. Julie Ferrier is credited as the mechanic. An intriguing set of ingredients before you even get to the music.

This is the kind of visual collaboration we want more of in our evening rotation. Fashion is part of the picture, not a separate subject we have to visit after the song ends. Those rounded shapes and bright blue details give the still a personality all its own.

“Any Way” comes from the Pulsar period, so consider this a video rediscovery rather than a new-release announcement. Good work does not suddenly become less interesting when its publicity week is over.

We started putting music videos on the backyard screen because we wanted to actually look at the things artists were making. This is a very good candidate for that treatment.

Watch “Any Way” on the directors’ Vimeo page. And when you share it, take a second to credit the people who made it look this unusual.
